1. Etymology: Named for Lobban’s colleague J. Nelson Navarro Ramas, who pitched in and mentored him at the beginning of the Micronesian floristics, and waited patiently 20 years to see that work published. and for his work on Hyalosira., 2. Holotype is given as: Specimen at 12.1 mm E and 13.8 mm S of the mark on slide 1389, deposited at ANSP, illustrated as fig. 13E in Lobban et al. (2021).
