1. Etymology: Named for the short, sinuous external openings of the valve face areolae and girdle bands. , 2. Diagnosis: Valves with sinuous external areola openings but differing from Homoeocladia celaenoae especially the presence of keel crest, infilled pores in the peri-raphe zone, and linear-lanceolate outline rather than lanceolate, 3.
