1. Etymology: Named for the region of origin, Micronesia, and in honor of Micronesica, the University of Guam’s journal of natural history of the region, which has a 60-year history of publishing biodiversity records., 2. Diagnosis: Large, linear valves with keel crest, boundary along edge of valve depression, distinguished from Homoeocladia tarangensis most readily by the absence of pores along the peri-raphe zone and absence of single row of pores on apex but also areola density and length of exposed striae, 3. Fig. 14A-E, from specimen on stub 226
